Linda Dickens is the Senior Director of Institutional Accreditation and Effectiveness and Accreditation Liaison at The University of Texas at Austin. Dickens is driven to not only do assessment but to help other practitioners become leaders in the field.
Dickens was first interested in becoming a Teagle Scholar because of the great opportunity to work with a learning community of faculty, staff, and administrators from various institutions.
She says, “The program directors are full of thoughtful ideas and are dedicated to creating opportunities to learn and improve.”
Dickens believes that the Teagle Scholar Program creates a community for individuals to learn from others’ successes and challenges on campuses. Institutions benefit from the various workshops that train staff and students on how to conduct assessment. The program helps impact the quality of the student learning experience.
