Visits to Bennington College and Union College

May 6-12, 2018 and May 1-9, 2019

Charlie Blaich and Kathy Wise are working as assessment consultants with Bennington College and Union College on a National Science Foundation grant to deepen and expand work to respond to PFOA contamination in New York and Vermont.

This project will equip classes in chemistry, geology, and environmental studies to produce independent data on PFOA contamination and will provide a home base for the growing network of research scientists and science educators in that region concerned about PFOA.

This project also teams up with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) and the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation (VT DEC) to share research projects and findings on PFOA across state borders. More information is available here.
