About

Sirkka A. Kauffman is the former Director of Institutional Research at Franklin Pierce University. Kauffman’s primary interests were centered around assessment for general education learning outcomes and helping faculty better understand ways to improve student learning.

Over the course of Kauffman’s career, she had participated in several activities to help widen the understanding of student learning. For Kauffman, becoming a Teagle Scholar was a natural next step.

Kauffman has witnessed institutions that collect assessment data but have no understanding of next steps to improve student learning. The Teagle Scholar Program helps institutions develop those next steps based off their assessment evidence. Kauffman believes the Teagle Scholar Program can assist institutions through the process at any stage.
