About
Gillian Pierce is the director of learning assessment in the office of the provost at Boston University. Pierce has a long-standing interest in portfolio assessment and electronic portfolios. He is currently engaged in a campus-wide project to design meaningful assessments for general education.
Piece was intrigued by the Teagle Program based on the combination of scholarly training, practical experience, and the collegiality and willingness to share experiences with other scholars.
“The focus of the Teagle Scholars is on practical problem-solving to promote real change and improvement on college and university campuses,” says Pierce. “Teagle Scholars bring practical solutions—ready to implement to their campuses—and offer training to others to continue this important work.”
