About

Craig Pepin is the Assistant Dean for Assessment and Associate Professor, Core Division at Champlain College. His assessment interests include general education outcomes and interdisciplinarity and integrative thinking. He enjoys the challenge of assessing complex thinking skills and habits of mind and translating results into pedagogical and curricular improvements.

Pepin accepted his invitation to become a Teagle Scholar out of a desire to be part of TASP’s supportive network of dedicated professionals who care deeply about improving student learning. Pepin says, “I wanted, and found, colleagues and friends who would provide advice, experience, and support for the tough assessment challenges at my institution. And, I found opportunities to give back in return when my colleagues also faced challenges with which I could help.”

Pepin believes being a Teagle Scholar has benefited his institution and says, “I’m much better at turning assessment results into action thanks to the Teagle Program and that makes our students, and therefore my institution, a better place.”
