As a member of the HEDS research team, Adrea Hernandez works with institutions that are interested in surveying students and alumni for the purposes of improving student learning experiences on their campuses. Since joining HEDS in 2014, Adrea has been most involved with our Research Practices Survey and Alumni Survey, both in terms of administering the surveys and producing reports based on the comparative results. Adrea is also leading our efforts to assess our products and services.
Prior to joining HEDS, Adrea completed coursework and exams for a PhD in American Studies at Boston University. She began the PhD program immediately after earning her undergraduate degree in pursuit of a career in academia, with a research interest in socio-political history and racial identity.
Adrea’s work, has always been social justice oriented, and she enjoys working with HEDS — a nonprofit organization that conducts research with the goal of helping colleges and universities meet their institutional missions.
